When should I choose a GRP cat ladder over galvanised steel?
Choose GRP/FRP where the ladder is exposed to chemicals, chlorinated water, salt spray or coastal air, or where non-conductivity is required near electrical equipment. For general roof access with no corrosive exposure, hot-dip galvanized steel (HDG 85–100 µm) remains the most economical option.
Can you build a GRP cat ladder with a safety cage?
Yes — cages are fitted where required by EN ISO 14122-4 (fall heights above 3 m).
