A cat ladder safety cage is required on vertical climbs above the fall-protection threshold where a fall-arrest rail is not used. Under OSHA 1910.28, fall protection is required above 24 ft (7.3 m); EN ISO 14122-4 applies fall protection from 3 m. We fabricate hooped cages to the standard that governs your site.
What are the cat cage ladder dimensions?
Standard cage hoops are Φ700 mm and start at 2.2 m above the base, spaced at no more than 1500 mm and strapped longitudinally to the stiles. Rungs sit at 225–230 mm centres with a 1.5 kN per-rung rating, and fixing brackets go at ≤1500 mm spacing.
