Under OSHA 1910.28(b)(9), fixed ladders over 24 ft (7.3 m) require a ladder safety system or personal fall arrest on new installations (in force since 19 November 2018); cages and wells are acceptable on existing ladders only until 18 November 2036. EN ISO 14122-4 gives the cage geometry and applies fall protection from 3 m. Our standard caged cat ladder starts the first hoop at 2.2 m above the lower landing, and runs over 25 m are split with rest platforms.

Which material is best for a caged cat ladder?
Q235B hot-dip galvanized steel (HDG 85–100 µm, ISO 1461) is the standard for exterior roof access. SS304 or SS316 is specified for chemical and marine exposure, and GRP/FRP for electrical and highly corrosive environments. We factory-quote all four.
